SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
Rayner Karate acknowledges that we have a duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of our participants. We are dedicated to ensuring that our safeguarding policies promote the best practice and comply with statutory requirements.
Aims of this policy:
Through our safeguarding and child protection policy, Rayner Karate aims to ensure that regardless of age, disability, race, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation or socio-economic background:
Our members enjoy participating in Rayner Karate.
We provide a safe and positive learning environment for our members.
Our members are protected from abuse or maltreatment whilst participating at Rayner Karate or otherwise.
Our promise:
In order to achieve our aims, Rayner Karate will:
Prioritise the welfare of our participants above all else.
Ensure instructors and staff attend safeguarding and child protection training every three years.
Ensure instructors and staff have up to date enhanced DBS checks.
Take appropriate action to respond to any concerns for welfare and/or abuse, which will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately, with proper records being kept.
Follow the safeguarding policies and procedures of schools and facilities where Rayner Karate takes place
